Being Mad


“Okay, I give up. Could you stop ignoring me? I’m right here.” Brian’s voice echoed load and clear through the diner.

His hand sneaked out to touch Justin’s arm as he passed the booth to deliver a pink plate special to table four.

Justin gave him a quick once-over and thought that Brian looked slightly apologetic. He was still mad but it was time to talk things out.

On his way back he slid into the booth and sat down opposite his lover, looking at him askance.

Brian sighed.

“I think… I owe you… a cheeseburger… and…

maybe…

an apology.”

Okay, I could now say because Justin is always hungry... or because maybe whatever Brian did to get Justin mad had something to do with the cheeseburger... or it is kind of a peace offering because Brian knows that Justin loves cheeseburgers... but - the simple truth is that the drabble prompt was "cheese" and I had to put some cheese into my drabble ;) ... hence the cheeseburger LOL Many thanks for reading and commenting, dear!
