A soft breeze rushes in through the open windows, ruffling the drapes.

Night sounds from the streets drift in and disturb his sleep.

A car horn honking in the distance,

strangers yelling obscenities a couple of blocks down.

He escapes from the wicked dream with a strangled sob,

arms tightening convulsively around the peacefully sleeping blond in his embrace

and painfully relieved to feel him there back again.

“Brian…,” sleepily squeezing back, comes the muffled response.

He inhales the familiar scents that have been missing from his life for too long

and promises himself to never push him away again.
