“Come on, Justin! I’m waiting. Get into the shower already!”
A gust of cool air.
“The water’s not too hot, is it?”
“No, it’s fine. But this sponge is much too scratchy, we need a softer one. And maybe the sweet-smelling milk-and-honey soap… mm-hmm… Be careful and keep the shower head a little farther away… gently… mmh, better… such delicate skin.”
“Here’s your toy, Sonny Boy, come to Daddy.”
A snort.
Happy giggling.
Brian couldn’t keep the smile off his face, his boy’s laughter was infectious.
Who would have thought that giving Gus his bath could be so much fun?!
