Lindsay had that look on her face again, the one that warned Mel to tread carefully here and to formulate her next words with caution.

“So… we’re still right on track with our plans to spend Christmas with Justin and the … and Brian at the mansion, right?” She asked.

“I thought maybe we could stay with Debbie and Carl…,” Lindsay answered somewhat hesitantly.

“Don’t be silly! How would four more people fit into their tiny house?”

Silence.

“Linds, what’s your problem? Hey…”

“It’s only… when we stay at Britin I always realize how far from home we are here.”
