“Do you think that’s it, Daphne? Brian took me in out of pity? Because I got my head bashed in and he feels a weird sense of obligation or… even worse… pity?”

“Whatever gave you that idea?”

“I… uhm… asked Michael…”

Daphne pursed her lips in consideration.

“Michael, huh? And you don’t think that… maybe… he has some kind of ulterior motive for saying so? That… maybe… he’s jealous of the fact that you’re actually living with Brian?”

Daphne’s finger poked his chest.

“Think, Justin! When has Brian ever… EVER been known to do something he doesn’t WANT to do?”
